When you loose connectivity, an info bar pops up on the Sell screen and lets you know know that you can continue billing and also shows you the number bills that are awaiting sync when the connectivity is back again.
At the moment offline mode is supported only on Google Chrome browser and soon we would be adding support to other browsers as well.
